I live in Benfleet, on the border of Benfleet, Hadleigh and Thundersley.

 

I live in a large  house in Benfleet which is my base for the childminding.  The house is in a quiet cul-de-sac with a garden and large, sunny playroom.  The house is nearby the A13 and a short drive from Benfleet train station, great for commuting parents.

I am Mum to two little boys aged 3 and 1 and Step-Mum to two girls aged 14 and 13.​

I trained at Warwick University as a primary school teacher, qualifying in 2005 with a 2:1 honours degree in Primary School Education .  I taught for 5 years at a Primary school in Sutton, London, mostly teaching in years 1 and 2.

Not a fan of the beaurocracy of primary education, I left to nanny.  I nannied for 18 months for 2 families with children ranging in ages from 4 months old to 14 years old.  

Then, trying something new and completely different I trained as a dental nurse at the Royal London Hospital and went on to work as an orthodontic nurse for a Harley Street orthodontist.

Having had my first little boy in 2015, I have decided to return to my first love of childcare so I can stay at home with my children and work from home as a childminder.  I have completed my CACHE level 3 in 'How to Become a Childminder and also my paediatric first aid qualification.
